Egress windows are designed for a quick and safe exit from your basement during an emergency and is a legal requirement for basement apartments in most localities. Integral Window Systems offers several styles of egress windows:  egress slider and egress hopper windows as well we offer egress hinge options on our casement windows.

Typically 3.8 square feet of clear openning is required to qualify for egress,     Please check local by-laws to ensure the right dimensions before ordering.

Egress hoppers are either awning or casement style windows that swing into your home. Top hinge egress hoppers open at 30 degrees, and side hinge hoppers open at 90 degrees.

For side hinge egress windows, the minimum dimensions to achieve 3.8 square feet  are 24"x34". For top hinge egress windows, the minimum dimensions are 36"x24". Please check local by-laws to ensure the right dimensions before ordering.
